Former Disney CEO Bob Iger, Amazon founder and ex-CEO Jeff Bezos, Oracle co- founder and past CEO Larry Ellison, and Washington Wizards minority governor Laurene Powell Jobs are expected to be interested in buying the Phoenix Sun.

On the same day that the Suns and Mercury owner announced that he was starting the process to sell the teams, Ramona Shelburne reported that there was new information.

The NBA fined him $10 million and suspended him for a year after he was found to have violated workplace standards. The use of racial slurs and the treatment of female employees were included in that behavior.

There were allegations of racism and misogynistic behavior on the part of the owner of the Suns and Mercury.

According to Forbes, the Suns were worth almost $2 billion in October of 2011. The New York Knicks are the most valuable sports team in the world.

Sarver has the option to sell his teams to anyone he chooses.

There's money to buy the Suns and Mercury. Bezos and Ellison are the fourth and sixth richest people in the world. Jobs had a net worth of $13.6 billion, according to a report.

Forbes reported that Iger's net worth was $690 million in 2019.

This decade has seen the sale of three NBA teams. In 2020, the Utah Jazz sold for $1.66 billion, and the Minnesota Wolves and Lynx sold for 1.5 billion in 2021.
