It's easier to earn tier status with the three-pronged limited-time status accelerator promotion.
Southwest will apply reward flight segments earned since Jan. 1, 2022, to A-list or A-list preferred elite status segment requirements. Southwest loyalty members will be able to earn flight segment credits for travel purchased through November in addition to earning double tier qualification points.
Log in to your Rapid rewards account and search for the Reward Travel Counts promotion.
To be eligible for two of the three status opportunities, members need to register online.
The first opportunity is to earn flight segment credits, which will count towards A-List or A-List Preferred tier status for 2023, and will be applicable on all flights booked using Rapid rewards points. A new day is upon us. Within 72 hours of completion, you will be able to see the flight segments in your account.
Double tier qualification points can be earned by members who register for this promotion and purchase flights through the end of November.

Rapid Rewards members don't have to register for the final part of the promotion. It is possible that members noticed that their reward flight segments were added to their tier progress. Reward flight segments will be applied to tier status segment requirements for all flights in January. 18.
If you want to make sure your reward flight segments went to your account, go to the "My Account" tab, "My Rapid rewards" and click on "view status details."
Southwest flyers will be able to reach the carrier's version of elite status in three years. A-listers are entitled to an additional 25% Rapid Rewards points-earning bonus on qualified flights, as well as same-day confirmed changes with no fare difference, priority check-in and boarding for everyone on their reservation, and more. A-list preferred members get all of those but get more points for free inflight wi-fi
A-list preferred status can be earned with 50 one-way flights or more. You need to fly at least 25 one-way flights or 35,000 points in a year.
