Over the past week, relocation efforts surged to the forefront of national political attention after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took credit for a questionable transport of migrants from Texas to Massachusetts. According to the lawsuit, the migrants were flown there under false pretenses and told they were going to Boston or D.C. They claim their relocation violated federal immigration law. Texas sent its first bus filled with migrants to Washington in April. The busing program was started by the governor of Arizona. New York City and Chicago have been added as drop-off points by the governors in order to protest against the policies of the Democrats. The governors say that all of the migrants are sent to their destinations willingly.
