Ron Johnson, an ultra-conservative senator from Wisconsin, said on Tuesday that he condoned white supremacy before changing his mind and condemning it.

One user said, "Paging Dr. Freud."

Johnson made a mistake in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business. One jokester thought Bartiromo would say, "Jeez, remember to 'dog whistle,' Ron, like we practiced!"

Johnson has a questionable record on race. He did not condemn Kyle Rittenhouse, who killed two Black Lives Matter protesters. When Rittenhouse was found not guilty, Johnson said justice had been served.

In August, Christine Neumann-Ortiz, executive director of the immigration rights group Voces de la Frontera, said that Johnson's comments about border security were meant to align with Trump and the far right.

Johnson was accused of racism for saying he wasn't concerned about the Capitol rioters, if they belonged to Black Lives Matter.

Donald Trump was defeated in the 2020 election by a fake-electors plot.

A critic called his mistake with Bartiromo Freudian.

That's not a slip up. That's the first time Ron Johnson has said anything truthful in years.
