Following its first announcement and trailer, we now have an extended look at the upcoming Spike Jonze-directed Beastie Boys Story of "three friends who inspired each other and the world."

The sub-three minute trailer sheds light on what you can expect from the live documentary. Hosted by Beastie Boys surviving members Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz and Michael "Mike D" Diamond, the two take to a stage in front of a live audience at King's Theatre in Brooklyn, doing commentary against a slideshow of intimate snippets from their history as a band of brothers from one of the world's most revered bands - all this captured by long-time friend Jonze.

Alongside, the Oscar-winning film director and photographer, with Rizzoli, will be publishing Beastie Boys, a photo book featuring 200+ photos from Jonze's personal collection of photographs of Mike D, Ad-Rock, and the late Adam "MCA" Yauch - available now for preorder.

Watch the trailer above. Beastie Boys Story will premiere at South by Southwest in March, then at select IMAX theaters on April 3 before landing on Apple TV+ on April 24.

For more entertainment-related news, Blumhouse Productions is remaking 'Dracula' with director Karyn Kusama.
