Hilton hotels will design astronaut suites on private Starlab space station

The hotel chain is ready to leave the planet.

The hotel giant will move into a future Earth-orbiting space station called Starlab along with other companies.

The design and development of crew suites aboard Starlab will be supported by the expertise and experience of the company, which will help to make extended stays more comfortable.

NASA wants to replace the International Space Station with a private space station called Starlab. NASA has been planning for successors to the International Space Station, which will be run by a private company.

The International Space Station's legacy is being looked at by NASA.

In December of 2021, NASA gave $170 million to the two companies. The contract is part of $416 million in design contracts.

Critics have accused the agency of not doing enough to move forward with the space stations quickly enough, and that they may not be ready in time for the end of the International Space Station program. Russia decided to withdraw from the partnership in order to build its own space station.

George Washington Carver Science Park should be able to hold up to four astronauts at a time. The US side of the International Space Station has been managed byNanoracks for more than a decade.

The architecture and design of Starlab is going to be worked on by the two companies. The private space station will have rooms for sleeping and eating. There was an announcement made during the International Astronautical Congress in Paris in the year 2022.

The science park G will be located at the Ohio State University. The Costa Rican startup Orbital Space Technologies was one of the companies that signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the collaboration.
