Apple Fitness+ will be available to iPhone users without an Apple Watch in the future.

A user named Jadyn Daniel noticed that it is now possible to subscribe to Apple Fitness+ on the iPhone without an Apple watch. Sigmund Judge, editor-in-chief of Screen Times, discovered a new screen in the second tvOS 16.1 for Apple TV that allows users to connect an iPhone for Apple Fitness+ workouts without an Apple watch.

In all 21 countries where the service is currently offered, including the United States, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, you will be able to use Fitness+ if you don't own an Apple Watch.

Apple Fitness+ has a library of over 3000 workout and meditation videos. The service is available in the U.S. through the Fitness app on the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV at a monthly or yearly price. Real-time metrics like heart rate and calories burned during a workout can't be seen on the phone without an Apple watch.
