The platform has struck its first blow as the discussion about its allowance of gambling streams continues. There will be a ban on gambling sites that include slots, roulette, or dice games on October 18th.

All of the gambling forms mentioned above are still allowed on the platform. Sports betting, fantasy sports, and poker will be allowed, but the websites that stream slots, roulette, and dice won't be allowed unless they're licensed in the U.S.

Stake.com is one of the most popular slot gambling sites that will be banned by the government. It is often featured on the streams of big streamers.

Wealthy streamers are promoting their services, ostensibly to minor, and potentially feeding gambling addictions, as the topic of gambling on twitch has become a hot-button topic. ItsSliker admitted this week that he bilked hundreds of thousands of dollars from fellow streamers to support his sportsbetting habit.

If the platform didn't ban gambling from the site, big-name streamers like Pokimane, who is currently involved in a separate but tangentially related incident, proposed or supported a boycott. That action may not be necessary anymore. When the ban takes effect, sports betting will not be affected.

Ahead of the implementation of its gambling policies on October 18th, it will share more about them in its social media accounts.
