Bobby Hart was suspended by the league for one game for hitting a Tennessee coach after taking a swing at a player.

According to the league's release, Hart's actions came at the end of the Bills' victory. The coach hit by Hart was not identified by the league.

In a letter to Hart, Jon Runyan wrote, "As both teams were heading to the tunnel, you walked directly across the field to look for your opponent." A coach held you back as people shook hands after you approached him.

The head of a Tennessee coach was struck by a closed fist when you confronted him after you and your opponent scored. The high standards of sportsmanship expected of a professional is not reflected in your conduct.

The Bills have a backup offensive lineman named Hart. He signed a one-year contract in April. The eighth-year lineman was drafted by the New York Giants in the seventh round of the 2015 draft. He has started 67 games in the regular season. In training camp and the preseason, Hart was able to help at multiple positions on the line because of his play.

After the game was out of reach, he played 25% of the offensive snaps. He played on the special teams.

The collective bargaining agreement allows Hart to appeal. If he does appeal, that hearing will be before either of the officers who were appointed by the league and the players' union. Hart may appeal the suspension.

After the Bills' Week 3 game against the Miami Dolphins, Hart will be able to rejoin the active roster.
