The family of a Utah boy who fell from a bunk bed during the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania has sued the league and the company that made the bed.

Easton was injured in a fall at a players dormitory. Ken Fulginiti, the family's lawyer, said Tuesday that he has had three operations and battled a staph infections.

He isn't doing well. Seizures are the more recent development. Fulginiti said it had been a long road. The lawyer said that Easton had been hospitalized in Pennsylvania and Utah.

There was no railing on the top bunk according to the lawsuit. Savoy Contract Furniture did not respond to messages seeking comment.

Easton, a pitcher and outfielder with the Snow Canyon team from Santa Clara, fell asleep. The boy's care is the focus of the lawsuit.

Fulginiti said that they appreciate all the support they've received. They're having a hard time focusing on the family. They have two other children.

Jace Oliverson was an assistant coach on the baseball team, and Easton's younger brother was an alternate who was put in charge after the fall. The snow canyon was eliminated after two losses.
