On Tuesday, the man who calls himself only Ye said that his catalog is not for sale.

West said that his publishing was being put up for sale without his knowledge. It's not for sale.

According to a story published on Monday, representatives for West had been shopping his publishing library to potential buyers and looking at valuations over the last 10 months.

A publicist for West didn't reply to a request for comment from Insider. Representatives for West and his publisher didn't reply to a question.

Swift's situation wouldn't be the same if West's library was put up for sale. The master recordings of Swift's first six albums were among the assets Scooter Braun acquired.

Fans of both artists will be surprised by the comparison. At the Video Music Awards in 2009, West interrupted Swift's win for best video by a female artist to say that he had one of the best videos of all time.

West posted a picture of a text between him and someone.

In the text, West asked if he could ask who was selling his publishing.

The other person said it was from a fake news source. Every publisher wants to get the best price on their product. It's really sad.
