Women who watch the National Football League didn't know this was coming. We've been down the road too many times and seen too many fans defiantly wearing jerseys. We looked into the comments surrounding players accused of harming a woman on social media, only to see that it wasn't just a few bad apples who defended athletes who harm women. The fan who likes a player more because he is accused of brutalizing women has always been underestimated. He crows about it all the time.
I am not sure if anyone was prepared for the viciousness of the Cleveland fans who have supported Deshaun. The National Football League suspended him for 11 games in August for what can only be described as harrowing massage sessions with women. There have been many claims of sexual assault and misconduct with 30 settlements. That is correct, huh? Women who are very thin.
It would stand to reason that when 30 people share similar experiences with the same person, there is at least some truth to it. It is proof of the depths women will go to in order to get money out of an innocent man.
Amirite, bitches?
It is difficult to blame a fan base when the head of the organization gives them tacit permission to behave as they are, pointing out that their sex pest QB is the real victim here.
I don't know if he will ever play again. He is not supposed to be a part of society. Does he have a chance to rehabilitate himself? We will do that. You can say that because he is a great quarterback. Absolutely! If he was Joe Smith, he wouldn't be on the headlines.
Jim, what I can tell you is that it is not a good idea to play football for a long period of time. You can't talk about rehabilitation and redemption when the guy is still denying that he did anything wrong.
Give a bunch of jerks an inch and they will take a mile. Some fans of the Cleveland team were given all the fuel they needed because of Haslam's refusal to criticizeWatson. We are here now.
And here, as well.
And here, as well.
This was the image that took the cake this weekend.
Happy endings are illegal without the consent of both parties according to the way this tableau is implying. Take a few moments and read what some of the women have to say about what happened.
There are a lot of women involved in this. There is a joke about sexual assault allegations. In our lifetimes, 81 percent of women will experience some kind of sexual assault or harassment. That's really true. I'm going to be in on the joke.
Deadspin reached out to the ClevelandBrowns to find out what they were doing to discourage fans from openly mocking sexual assault survivors. Fans with vulgar shirts and signs are being thrown out. I wonder if signs are being removed from people. Someone has been banned from First Energy.
The FirstEnergy Stadium Fan Code of Conduct forbids the use of inflammatory language, as well as offensive or degrading clothing. Management has the right to determine what signs are in violation of stadium policy and to take away signs that are in violation. The display of happy endings that took place in the FirstEnergy tailgate lot is not okay, and a statement from the ClevelandBrowns would go a long way towards shutting down the rampant sexism that has taken over the internet.
The team did not respond to our emails at the time.
Women are used to being disappointed by the NFL, which is fond of trumpeting how many of us watch but refuses to do anything that might make us feel better. Jim said that Deshaun is a star quarterback and women are not.
