According to a new Insider/Morning Consult poll, the majority of Americans think that President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are not fit to serve in public office.
According to a survey conducted in early September, nearly six in 10 American adults think that Biden is not up to the job. Many felt the same.
The physical and mental health of both Trump and Biden has been the subject of many questions. If Biden or Trump were elected for a second term, they would be in the White House for many years to come.
Despite being 77 years old when he was campaigning and 78 years old when he was inaugurated, Democratic voters did not care about Biden's age. He said that Democrats were looking for a candidate to beat Trump.
"In the lead up to the primary, the most important thing to Democratic primary voters was electability, the concerns were pretty low about someone being too old or too young to serve in office."
Republicans and Democrats were willing to tell politicians from their own party that they aren't fit for office.
McConnell wasn't popular with self-identifying GOP supporters. More than half of them said that McConnell was not suitable to serve in public office at the moment.
The majority of respondents to a recent poll said that politicians in their 30s and 40s were better than politicians in their 50s and 60s.
Wyoming's results were particularly curious. Almost half of the Republicans think she's not fit to serve. A majority of the Democrats who took the survey said she's good for office.

45% of Democrats think House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is not fit to hold the office.
Forty-four percent of people said the same about Hillary Clinton.
The Insider/Morning Consult had 2,210 respondents and a margin of error of 2%.
