Darrelle Revis and Dwight Freeney are two of the first-time nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Running back Chris Johnson and offensive linemen Jahri Evans and Joe Thomas are among the first-timers nominated.

During his career, Revis was one of the top defensive backs in football, playing for the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, and New England Pats. He was a four-time first-team All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowler. He's a lock to get into Canton because opposing quarterbacks rarely target him.

From 2002 to 2017: Freeney was a seven-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro for the Indianapolis Colts. His career sacks are the 18th most in the history of the league.

He's a strong bet for the Hall of Fame.

During his 10-year career, Johnson ran for over 1,000 yards in each of his first six seasons, and he also scored 14 times. The three-time Pro Bowler, one-time first-team All-Pro and 2009 offensive player of the year fell off after leaving the TennesseeTitans in 2014, but finished his career with 9,651 rushing yards and 55 rushing scores.
