The introduction of Spotify Audiobooks is part of the company's effort to be a one-stop shop.

Since the acquisition of Findaway in 2021, it has been anticipated that the company would enter the audiobook market. Even if you don't pay for a Premium subscription, you'll still be able to listen to your favorite music, books, and podcasts in one place. The audiobooks are not free.

For the time being, audiobook are available for individual purchase. You will be taken to the web from the app to complete your purchase and then brought back to the app. The prices of each audiobook are in line with industry standards. There is no discount for users of the premium service.

The feature allows users to download audiobooks that they can keep forever, and the platform offers more than 300,000 in a variety of genres. As they listen to the books, users can mark their place on a map. Next to titles will be user ratings.

The recommended titles are editorially chosen and will be expanded to audiobooks in the future.

The company plans to add audiobooks to other countries at a later date.

Unfortunately, any audiobook you listen to on the platform won't be included in the Wrapped edition.
