The Houston Astros won another AL West title

Out of the last six, the Astros have won five of them. The 2020 season isn't counted because they missed it. This is their fifth title in a row. The Dodgers can't match that streak as it's the longest in the majors The Astros have won at least 100 games in four of the last five full seasons. The Dodgers have won over 500 games over the past five years. They have won the American League's Championship three times.

We still wave a hand at whatever they accomplish, despite the fact that the cheating scandal is five years old. There is always something to say about "JUST ONE World Series!" They have two losses, one in seven games, and one in six. We know by now that there is no comment on how a team is run during the playoffs.

The Astros have introduced Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alvarez to their everyday lineup since they won the title last year. Jeremy Pea, who only has one full season above High-A, is likely to join the other two as the team's foundation. They have completely turned over their rotation to Justin Verlander since last year. The beat keeps going on.

Yes, Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman are still here, and they will never get rid of the smell of garbage. In an offensive deflated season, Bregman has a 142 wrc+. Altuve has a score of 157. Either they are cheating or they are doing it better than everyone else. Maybe it is that they are really good.

It is distasteful that they allowed George Springer, Cole, and Carlos Correa to walk because they could afford it. Since Springer left, he has a 132 wrc+, and Correa has a 136. Either they brought the spy gear or they were really good at it.

Is that something that makes the Astros likeable? The cloud will always be over them. They still had a front office that was able to acquire Roberto Osuna. The front office is no longer open. The boss.

We were all upset that the Astros were better at it. They are better as an organization than the rest. They haven't been a constant threat. The Yankees have been even less of a team. Trayce Thompson on the Dodgers is besting his career wrc+ by 40 points in a season where it's been harder to hit well. Isn't it fascinating that that happens at Chavez ravine? I like it.

In baseball, we care about it. We like the fact that the Pats cut out their opponents radio communications. Hockey players hide on LTIR to game the salary cap and it is doing well. Everything Eddie Murphy did in this town would be considered legit.

The Astros are booed because they are still here, and because they are still here, they are less of a stick to beat them with, and we are upset about not having it anymore. We all want our teams to win. We are angry about that.

The Astros don't have to worry. They just get the job done.
