Subban was traded to the Nashville Preds after six years with the Montreal Habs. He was traded by Nashville to the New JerseyDevils.

His average time on ice was the lowest of his career in the three seasons he was with theDevils.

The James Norris Memorial Trophy was won by Subban, who had 38 points in 42 games and a plus-12 mark. He scored 40 or more points in five of the last six years.

He was part of the team that reached the Stanley Cup final.

The 33-year-old saw his production decline over the past three seasons while the team was one of the worst in the NHL.

Subban was the co-chair of the player inclusion committee.

In June of last year, he won the King Clancy trophy, which is given to players who have made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in their community.

Subban's career ended with 115 goals and 352 assists, thanks to his all-around contributions.
