Report: Cole Beasley, Buccaneers Agree to Contract; Tom Brady Has Had WR on 'Radar'

Cole Beasley was added to the wide receiver group by the Bucs.

According to Mike Garafolo, the Bucs will sign him to their practice squad and elevate him to their active roster soon.

Tom Brady has been on his radar for a while.

He was with the Buffalo Bills for the previous three seasons.

He has been an effective slot receiver during his career, as evidenced by the fact that he has over 80 catches in each of the last two seasons. He went unsigned throughout the summer after he was released by the Bills.

Last year, he became a controversial figure in Buffalo due to his opposition to the vaccine. It's possible that stance played a part in him staying on the free agent market.

With injuries piling up and games getting underway, interest in Beasley began to heat up. After the first week of the season, the SMU product had multiple offers on the table, but he chose to remain a free agent until Tuesday.

He's likely to move immediately into his typical slot role in the city. It remains to be seen if the Bucs can find a way to get Beasley the ball after he averaged just 8.5 yards per reception last season.
