Sadia Kabeya and Morwenna Talling both have four England caps

Sadia Kabeya and Morwenna Talling are both in the Rugby World Cup squad.

Sarah Beckett, a back row player, was left out of the squad, despite Kabeya beating the World Cup winner to a spot.

Talling missed the record 25th Test win in a row against Wales with an injury.

England are the favorites to win the title.

As expected, Sarah Hunter will continue as England captain as she makes her fourth World Cup appearance along with centre Emily Scarratt.

Youth favoured over experience

With 19 World Cup debutants in the squad, head coach Simon Middleton has opted for youth over experience in many areas.

Lucy Packer was included in place of the world champion.

After breaking her leg in April, Wing Abby Dow is in with the rest of the team.

Laura Keates, who hasn't played for England since November 2020, is one of three tight-head props in the squad.

After her first England appearance in three years, Centre Tatyana Heard is included in the backs.

Just in time, scrum-halfClaudia MacDonald has returned from an injury that looked like it was going to end his career.

There is only one out and out fly-half in the squad, and he is the one who is out.

"If between now and the tournament, or during the World Cup, we have to call anyone up, we can do it with 100% confidence that we are bringing a top player in," he stated.
