Liam Williams leaves the field against Munster
Liam Williams was forced off after 20 minutes in his debut for Cardiff

Liam Williams will miss the autumn internationals due to a serious collarbone injury.

Williams will be out for up to four months after undergoing surgery.

Williams will not be available for Wales' meeting with New Zealand, as well as the following Tests against Argentina, Georgia and Australia.

He joined the team from the Scarlets at the beginning of the season.

Williams was injured in the first quarter of the win against Munster.

After landing heavily on his left shoulder in a tackle from Calvin Nash, he left with his arm in a sling and went to the hospital.

Dai Young said after the game that things didn't look good.

Williams is going to miss at least the next 11 games.

The British and Irish Lion will have to prove his fitness in order to play in the Six Nations opener against Ireland in February.

Wales' full-back options now include Johnny McNicholl and Leigh Halfpenny, who have not played in over a year.

Halfpenny is expected to return soon.

Owen Lane was lost in the warm-up for the Rugby Championship opener but still managed to win.
