The COO of Beyond Meat was arrested in the US for biting a man's nose during a fight.

Douglas Ramsey is charged with terroristic threatening and third degree violence.

He posted a bond on Sunday and was released.

The incident occurred as he left the parking garage after the football game in Arkansas.

According to a preliminary police report, he bit the man on the tip of his nose after getting into a fight with another driver.

The police did not reply to the request.

Mr Ramsey worked at Tyson Foods for three decades and oversaw the company's poultry and McDonald's businesses.

He joined Beyond Meat as its COO.

Mr Ramsey said at the time of his appointment that he was proud to join in the mission to produce delicious products that are healthier for our customers and more sustainable for our planet.

Mr Ramsey and Beyond Meat did not reply to the requests.

The stock market debut of Beyond Meat took place on the New York Stock Exchange.

It was one of the most successful initial public offerings in recent years with its shares surging by more than 160% on their first day of trading.

The firm's shares have lost 70% of their value so far this year.

Beyond Meat lowered its revenue forecast last month and said it would cut 4% of its workforce.

The higher price of plant-based meat has slowed the company's growth, as customers around the world are faced with the rising cost of living, according to the company's CEO.
