According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup will make his NFL debut in Week 3 against the New York Giants.
Mike McCarthy talked about Gallup's recovery from a torn anterior cruciate knee.
He told reporters that they would give him a full slate this week.
Gallup was hurt in a Dallas game. He was in a race against the clock to be ready for the season opener.
Stephen Jones said in March that he would be out for the first couple of games. He wasn't expected to be on the field for the opener.
Whenever he gets the green light, the Cowboys need him.
A clear void in the passing game has been left by the lack of replacements for Amari Cooper. The starting quarterback and starting tight end have been injured.
The recovery time from thumb surgery is four to six weeks. There is a PCL issue in the right knee of the man.
