Doug Ramsey, the chief operating officer of Beyond Meat, was arrested over the weekend for biting a man's nose in a parking garage.
Ramsey was arrested and booked into the Washington County jail on Saturday evening. According to the Washington County information page, he was released on Sunday.
CNBC asked Ramsey and Beyond Meat if they had something to say.
There was an altercation in a parking garage near Razorback Stadium after the University of Arkansas football game. The first report of Ramsey's arrest was made by a local TV station.
The front tire of Ramsey's car was hit by the back window of the other car. Ramsey bit the tip of the owner's nose after punching him and getting out of his car. Ramsey allegedly told the owner of the car that he was going to kill him.
The campus police refused to speak to CNBC.
Since December, Ramsey has been operating the business. The food company has faced skepticism from investors over disappointing sales and operating challenges. The market has been dragged down by the stock's fall. Three years ago, the company was worth over $12 billion.
Ramsey spent three decades at Tyson Foods, where he oversaw its poultry and Mcdonald's businesses. Springdale is where Tyson's headquarters are located.
