The 3rd piece of the 5G triforce is going to be given to the 10 Pro today. The device is compatible with the next- generation wireless networks of all three major US carriers, according to the company.
That is an important feature on a phone that is meant to compete with the flagships of the world, which offer full network compatibility right out of the box. The 10 Pro and the more recent 10T are compatible with all of the 5Gs.
It wasn't a problem until a couple of years ago because there wasn't a 5G network to connect to. The networks started to evolve after Apple and SAMSUNG brought 5G support to their flagships. When the 9 and 9 Pro were launched, they were the only ones with 5G certifications. The 10 Pro was released earlier this year.
This isn't to say that using AT&T 5G is a life-changing experience right now, but it's improving, and it's likely something you'll want to have a few years down the line. That is what made the omission on the 9 and 10 Pro odd. It is good news for the 10 Pro that it will be able to compete against the dominantAndroid phone brand in the US.
