The world's first flying bike, called XTURISMO, made its debut last week at the Detroit Auto Show. It is a futuristic sight to see a grown man sitting upright as if he were riding a motorcycle. It's basically what it is if it looks like a motorcycle crossed with a drones.
XTURISMO has a top speed of up to 62 miles per hour and is powered by a hybrid engine. Is it possible that the hoverbike's flight time could be reduced if you propelled it at highway speeds? We are impressed by how new the technology is.
The co-chair of the Detroit Auto Show was one of the first people to ride the hoverbike and he was very enthusiastic about it.
It's awesome! Szott spoke to the press. You have a bit of apprehension, but I was so excited. He said that he felt like a small child.
Szott said that it was comfortable. There wasn't a jerky. It was poetically said.
A smaller version of the product is being prepared for a US release. How much is the starting price? A large sum of money. The price will be brought down to a much more reasonable $50,000 by the year 2025.
If this is going to be released in the US, Motor City would be a good place to start.
"It's very exciting for us to be here in Detroit, it's buttering up his host city," said the founder and CEO of the organization. The mobility industry is based in Detroit.
There are many hurdles that need to be cleared before it becomes practical. It's not street legal because it's still noisy and needs to be remotely controlled for its demonstration. It's definitely cool, that's what XTuriSMO does.
There is a flying motorcycle powered by eight jet engines.
