Police in Las Vegas are looking into allegations that a fan in the stands hit Kyler Murray during the Arizona game.

Murray was high-fiving front-row spectators at Allegiant Stadium after the game ended when a man reached out and hit him in the face with an open hand.

Murray appeared stunned, but not injured, and tried to identify the attacker in the mostly happy crowd.

Officer Hadfield said that a battery complaint was made at the stadium. The report was out of date.

Hadfield did not name Murray as the person who reported the allegation, but he did confirm that it was a professional football player.

Hadfield said an investigation was ongoing.

The spokesman for the Cards declined to speak Monday.

Murray led the Cards to two touchdown and two 2-point conversions in the final 8 minutes of regulation to force overtime.

The victory was Arizona's first in over a year. He was selected as the top pick in the draft.
