WarGames is going to be on the show.

The traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series match concept will be replaced by the WCW-originated concept.

There will be a men's and a women's War Games match. Levesque said that the tradition of the Survivor Series has ebbed and flowed over time, but this will be the same. This won't be a match between the two. It will be more of a story line. I still think of it as a traditional part of the Survivor Series, because it's large teams of people competing. We increased the ante with War Games and made it better.

Two rings side-by-side are covered by a huge steel cage as teams compete in an elimination match in WarGames.

The idea for the concept came from watching Mad Max BeyondThunderdome. It was one of the most popular match types in wrestling history when it was part of Jim Crockett promotions. The War Games matches are some of the best cage matches of all time.

Levesque brought the concept back to wrestling after it was taken away from it. The WarGames matches have received positive feedback from fans.

It appears that Levesque is going to bring the WarGames revival to pro wrestling's biggest stage.

The survivor series has been going on for 36 years. Levesque said it was the right time to do it because it needed to evolve a little bit. We are going to go to Boston on the 26th and it is already sold out. This is about giving our fans a good time. I want to give them all the things they can have.

The recent iteration of Survivor Series featured matches that featured little to no stakes. The draft came in the weeks leading up to the show, leaving performers fighting against the brand they were just representing. Even stellar matches fell flat due to the lack of stakes.

The red vs. blue pattern should not be an issue for the Premium Live event.

The men's WarGames match seems to be a lock after The Bloodline added a new player to their roster. A group of wrestlers who were wronged by The Bloodline would take them on in a blood feud.

The women's match is expected to feature Damage CTRL, the new stable featuring Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, and a pair of partners taking on a group that includes Bianca Belair, Asuka and others. It would make sense for the groups to settle their feud inside WarGames.

The women's tag team titles were lost to Sky and Kai, but they could still be counted on.

It is shaping up to be a must-watch event for the first time in a while.
