At a Saturday night rally in Ohio, former President Donald Trump compared his relationship with a Senate candidate to that of the leader of North Korea.

After getting to know the man, Trump said that he has warmed up to him.

This is a big race. "I've gotten to know this person very well, he is a great person."

He had bad things to say about me before he knew me. Trump drew laughs and applause from the crowd when he said that he fell in love with him.

He fell in love. They said that Trump said he fell in love. If you want the truth, he did.

Trump has bragged about his relationship with the North Korean leader, saying that he received beautiful letters from Kim.

He once suggested to a law school friend that Trump could become America's Hitler.

The man is a Trump supporter. He told the Intelligencer that he was wrong about Trump. He told Fox News in August that he had changed his mind about Trump.

Trump acknowledged that he used to be disapproved of, but said he has put that behind him. The Washington Post reported in April that Trump ignored the advice of his aides and endorsed a candidate who was seen as risky.

Trump made a backhanded comment about Vance's loyalty to him.

"JD wants my support so bad that he kissed my ass," Trump said.

A representative for Trump did not respond to questions from Insider.
