Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' offense stood out in the second week of the fantasy football season. That's amazing! We don't know what to think of them. Which developments from Week 2 are worth keeping an eye on? They offered their analysis.

Tua becomes a fantasy force

During our early-game chat, I insisted that before I would trust Tagovailoa with throwing the ball deep, I needed to see the evidence. The proof came from a franchise-record six-touchdown performance. Tagovailoa had a nice end zone throw to tight end Mike Gesicki, as well as his top two receiver, Jaylen Waddle. Tagovailoa's accuracy wasn't perfect, but working with two of the game's best big-play wide receiver is helping him, and I would want him in my lineup against any bottom-half NFL defense. He'll probably get worse in Week 3 against the Bills, but I'll give him the Jets, Steelers, and Lions all day long.

We saw Tua take some shots. The core pass concepts in the Miami offense allow Tua to target the second level of the field. When you have difference-making speed out there in Hill and Waddle, there's a chance for plays that are very exciting.

Amon-Ra continues to roll

Shmegression and regression are two types of regression. Amon-Ra St. Brown scored 39.4 points in Week 2, including a 58-yard end-around scamper and 11-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. He had a 32% share in the season opener, but he absorbed a 34% target share a week later. St. Brown has had double-digit targets in every game since Week 13 of last season, as well as a league-leading 210.9 points during that time, though Cooper Kupp and a few other players could catch him for the honor later in the season. With his quarterback's eye, elite skills and a defense that will put the Lions offense in passing situations, St. Brown has the look of a league winner again.

Amon-Ra St. Brown will continue to perform well.

Waddle and Hill provide fireworks for Miami

Jaylen Waddle saw 19 targets in the comeback win over Baltimore due to the game script going off the rails. It was good to see how Mike McDaniel will use the receiver in his system. Tua's tendencies as a thrower meshes with Waddle's game-breaking ability. Waddle had 11 catches for 171 yards and two scores, which was good for 40.1 fantasy points. It was a crazy day for the second-year pro, who will be a solid receiver in a tough game against the Bills.

The first pair of wide receiver to score 40-plus fantasy points in the same game was Waddle and Hill.

Swift keeps moving up RB rankings

Swift can be a top-five running back if you want to. Swift had only six touches in the Lions' win over the Commanders due to an ankle injury. The Detroit run game is juiced by his presence. Go and find daylight. The vision and short-area speed are needed to get into the field. Over the first two weeks of the season he has 62 yards and a touchdown on six catches. The Lions are able to move the ball. It is well planned. Next up for Swift and Detroit is a game against the Vikings.

Chubb finds end zone three times

Through two weeks, the Cleveland's running game is responsible for over 400 yards and four scores. Nick Chubb had 3 scores on Sunday, which resulted in 32.3 fantasy points, and he looks like a heavy-volume back in what is a fantasy friendly early portion of the team's schedule. It's important to have him in every lineup.

The runner with the top five finishes in the league. Chubb is in a volume rushing offense. Money in your lineup.

Other observations

Lamar Jackson set a new personal best with his 42.62 fantasy points after becoming the first quarterback in history to pass and run for 75 yards in the same game. Jackson's performance was overshadowed by Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' amazing comeback win. Jackson was at his best and hardly to blame, as this was a game of speed and big plays. Jackson is playing like a man motivated for a big, new contract, and this comes from a guy who doesn't believe in contract-year players I don't think I'd take him out of my top five even if it was against a harder defense. Next up, he's got the Pats.

Lamar Jackson's historic day ended on a down note but he still underscored his weekly top-five quarterback status.

You're with me on Lamar. He is targeting all three levels of the field with his throw. He is the most electric player in the league with the ball in his hands.

Is Brady going to be the quarterback next week? He scored just 9.4 points in the win over the Saints. It's difficult for Brady to face that opponent. Dennis Allen has a defense that can scheme. There are injuries at both the wide receiver and front of the house. Brady didn't score a lot of points in the first game of the season. The Green Bay defense is going to come in Week 3.

In Week 2, he played 43.5% of the offensive snaps to Henderson's 56.5%. Henderson had the highest-speed run of the duo (16.7 mph), as well as the Rams' only rushing touchdown, signalling that he's still very much involved in the backfield mix. Henderson needs to stay your Rams running back of choice in fantasy.

Kirk scored 25.8 points for the Jags in their Week 2 win over the Colts, but it was the scoring plays that stood out to me. The red zone was the location of his two touchdown. The angle route from a backfield alignment was followed by the "hide" boot scheme with Kirk releasing behind the line of scrimmage. In his first two games with the Jags, Kirk has caught 12 of 18 targets. He will remain a receiver next week with a game against the Bolts.

Christian Kirk has real fantasy potential as a wide receiver.

Dameon Pierce ran for 69 yards on 15 carries in Houston's victory over the Broncos. I am just looking at the volume. If that continues, he can make it into your lineup. Pierce is a downhill and physical runner.

London checked in with 24.6% of his points against the Rams. There's a system fit. The volume is also related to that. The rookies caught eight passes for 86 yards and a touchdown on a red zone throw. After two pro games, London is sitting at 13 of 19 targets. He's going to move up in rank this week. Next Sunday, start him as a solid receiver.

Wilson is a must add this week after dropping 30.0 points in the Jets' win over the Browns. The rookies caught 8 of 14 targets and scored two times, including the game winner. Wilson was able to shake press in the red zone and get loose in space. Next up for the Ohio State product is a game with the Cincinnati team. He's a deeper league receiver.

You can keep Samuel in the mix for the upcoming game against the Eagles. The wide receiver scored 19.2 points in the first week of the season, but he only scored 22.9 points in the loss to the Lions. In the first two games of the season, Samuel has scored. There is a volume for the pass game. His flexibility creates opportunities in this offense.

Eric Moody explains why the Commanders have a good chance of success.

The Indianapolis Colts' Week 2 performance was just as bad as can be, as they were shut out by the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars. Ryan fumbled again, giving him five for the season, and was picked off three times, bringing back bad memories of the play of the other team's quarterback. Jonathan Taylor, the star running back, had one of the worst days of his career due to Ryan's inability to get things done. The offensive line performed poorly and Ryan doesn't look trustworthy even in 2QB/superflex leagues because of the absence of Michael Pittman Jr.

The impact on the wide receiver injuries is something I agree with. Ryan's movement skills were exposed due to the poor play from the offensive line. He needs rhythm throws and clean platforms.
