All-inclusive resorts usually fit into the same mold in general destinations. Watered-down drinks and subpar food can be found at resorts on the beach in the Caribbean and Mexico.

The tide has changed recently for the all-inclusive experience. Major hotel companies have invested a lot of money to break the all-inclusive stereotypes as they collect resorts around the world. It's been like a game of Monopoly with random breaks and unlimited booze, but it's also been with your mother-in-law.

Hyatt added five resorts in Bulgaria, along the Black Sea, to its Inclusive Collection.

Hyatt's new additions

The acquisition of Apple Leisure Group by Hyatt added about 100 all-inclusive properties to its collection. All-inclusive brands include Secrets Resorts & Spas, Dreams Resorts & Spas, and Breathless Resorts & Spas.

Hyatt's own Hyatt Zilara and Ziva resorts can be used to earn points for stays at the Apple Leisure Group properties. Since all-inclusive resorts operate differently than other hotels and resorts, Hyatt decided to create a special awards chart for them.

My first all-inclusive vacation taught me a lot.

Hyatt's first venture into the all-inclusive market along the Black Sea is the new name of the five all-inclusive resorts in Bulgaria.

The five resorts are located in two different areas of Bulgaria. These destinations are popular with European holiday travelers because of their affordability. There is a complete list of the properties.

  • Secrets Resort & Spa: A 335-room, adults-only resort in Sunny Beach.
  • Dreams Resort & Spa: A 597-room, family-friendly resort next to Secrets in Sunny Beach.
  • AluaSun: A 191-room resort in Obzor.
  • Alua Resort: A 318-room resort in Obzor.
  • Breathless Resort & Spa: A 395-room resort in Sunny Beach.

Breathless is the only one of the five resorts that will have a new brand in place by the year 2024.

All-inclusive resorts are getting a new lease on life.

All-inclusive resorts were built to give travelers everything they needed during the Pandemic, including space, convenience and isolation. Travelers are realizing that an all-inclusive vacation can be more than just a trip to a tropical locale.

Accor's Rixos brand offers luxury all-inclusive experiences at more than two dozen properties. In Croatia, at the Rixos Premium Dubrovnik, guests can have an all-inclusive experience at a cliffside resort tucked into the Dalmatian Coast and still head out of the resort to explore the Old City.

It is possible to take all-inclusive vacations for winter activities. There are a number of all-inclusive ski resorts that are great for both seasoned pros and beginners. These resorts can be found in Europe, Japan, China and even Canada. When you can have snow and apres-ski, you don't need a lot of things.

If you want to experience something wild, you can take a trip to the cheapest all-inclusive resort in Egypt, which costs just $41.46 a night.

All-inclusive resorts are here to stay, no matter what you think about them.

Give these properties some time to do it for you. The new-age story of the resort is just beginning.
