On Tuesday, September 13th, we started our 3 Cards, 3 Continents Round-the-World adventure.
The check-in agents at the Ho Chi Minh airport said that our tests weren't within the limits.
For us that meant that our COVID tests had to be within 48 hours of our flight.
If you ignored the time zone where we got tested and simply compared the date and time of the test to the current date and time in Vietnam, it looked like we took the test more than a day before.
The layout of the seats and cabin were nice, but they weren't what made the flight so special
We were able to get some coffee, fill up our water bottles, and use the restroom in the arrivals lounge at the airport.
The tour guide picked us up at the airport and took us to the market.
It was interesting to see how many bird shops there were in the market.
In addition to seeing the market, our mission was to sample local food. This proved to be a challenge in the middle of the night, but when we found one place that had just closed, we were able to convince them to open.
We took a short cruise around the harbor.
The tourists from Bangladesh invited me to dance with them.
We went to see these pigeon houses after we returned from the cruise.
We were able to check in through the premium check-in at the airport.
The Al Mourjan Business Lounge is huge and has two separate dining areas with table service, quiet rooms, shower rooms, and more.
After showering and breakfasting, we were on our way to another flight on the same airline.
I was excited about the flights, but I didn't think I'd ever see the city.
We are going to learn about UNESCO bread in chapter 3, where we enjoy the food and the company of friends.
Do you want to watch me dance?
