According to PC Gamer, the leak was posted by a person named "teapotuberhacker", who claimed to be behind the hack of the ride sharing service. Some of the assets seen in the leaked videos appear to be in line with what little is known of the game. The return of the Miami-esque setting of Vice City and the reappearance of a female character are included in this. Much of the footage in the leak is still in its early stages, with unfinished models and textures all over the place, and code playing out in real-time across many of them.

The leaked footage has been spread on the internet. Lucia is seen robbing a diner in one video. Another character in the game, a white male, has a well-done voice acting and dialogue questioning the existence of the country of Finns. The majority of the footage is in a rough state and contains mostly meaningless characters.

The development build can't be any older than two years and the footage seems to be running on the RTX 3060 Ti and 3080 cards. There have been years of rumors about the development of Grand Theft Auto VI.
