CNN reported that the tactics used by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to relocate 50 migrants to Martha's Vineyard were similar to those used by southern segregationists.

The 1960s segregationalist effort was recounted by representatives of the John F. Kennedy Presidential library.

Black people were given one-way tickets to northern cities with false promises of jobs, housing, and better lives in order to humiliate Northern liberals.

50 migrants arrived in Martha's Vineyard without any warning. The two flights were claimed by the man. Republican governors flew migrants from Texas to Martha's Vineyard to protest the policies of the Biden administration.

Several other GOP governors have recently sent migrants to liberal cities. Thousands of people were bused to Washington D.C. and New York City in protest of Biden's policies.

The migrants thought they were going to Boston to get a job. Three migrants said a woman named Perla promised them expedited work permits in Boston.

Perla offered assistance. One migrant told NPR that help that never arrived. We are here now." On the plane we had a vision of the future.

In 1962, the segregationist group called the White Citizens' Council promised hundreds of Black Americans housing and jobs before sending them to cities like New York and Philadelphia.

The NAACP Boston branch president told CNN that the tactic of using people as political pawns was used 60 years ago by segregationists and White supremacists.

"It's important for us to highlight that parallel so people can see that this type of racist behavior and these racist tactics are still being used today."
