Even though CDPR deserves a lot of the credit for why Cyberpunk Edgerunners is so good, they almost made a huge mistake by building Night City and writing the script.
If you have watched the series, you will most likely agree with the sentiment that Rebecca is the best character in the series. CD PR didn't want her in the crew because they classified her as a loli. There was a push back.
CDPR gave an explanation in a recent event.
I'm guilty of saying that because I was part of the creative team that voted Rebecca out of the original cast. The character design for Rebecca was given to CD Projekt Red. There are no porn stars in Night City. It isn't compatible with the Cyberpunk 2077.
The developer says that Trigger said that the loli must stay.

The entire exchange has caused some controversy among Cyberpunk fans because of how loaded the term "loli" is in the works. As the quote from Trigger is second-hand, not how they actually classified her, the debate is whether Rebecca is a loli or not.
Rebecca is a small woman with a small frame and some say she is not under the age of 18. I remember a scene in Edgerunners where Rebecca was refused entry into the Afterlife bar because she was too young to drink in Night City in 2077. She would be even older by the time there was a time jump. There is one scene where Rebecca is threatening, not seducing the main character, but she is never nude like the other women on the show.
Even though they agree that Rebecca is the best girl, they are happy that she is included in the series, as the character who may have been the most popular with fans. Like most of the cast, Rebecca does not survive the events of the series, as she is crushed to death by Adam Smasher who jumps off Arasaka Tower in pursuit of David. There is a gruesome moment where Rebecca is smashed open with her brain on the ground, but I have heard fans hope that she can be put back together for a second season. I don't know if it's true.
