  • Trump criticized Biden for lowering gas prices.

  • The decrease was a political scheme, claimed Trump.

  • Trump claimed that it will double up and go higher after the election.

While in Ohio, Donald Trump slammed President Joe Biden for the recent decline in gas prices.

During his speech at the Covelli Centre, Trump claimed that Biden was using gas prices as a ruse to get votes.

The White House said Saturday was the 95th day in which gas prices have fallen. The national average price for a gallon of gas is $3.68.

Biden and the administration claim that the drop in prices is the biggest decline in a decade. The claim was not verified by Insider.

Biden went into the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to ease overpriced gas despite the reserve being only for war. When Saudi Arabia's crude production decreased, Trump did the same thing.

"He's using that to keep prices down as much as he can just before the election and right after the election, it's going to double up and go higher than anyone ever believed," Trump said at the rally.

The current average is double and triple what it was during Trump's time in office.

The national average was as low as $1.87 per gallon in May 2020 according to the Associated Press.

Some of Trump's supporters didn't seem to care that the crowd cheered during his rant.

The woman in the pro- Trump hat didn't agree with the interviewer who asked if the gas prices were bad.

The supporter thought the gas prices were not too bad.

A person for Trump did not reply immediately.
