App State wins in final seconds on miraculous 53-yard Hail Mary (1:13)

Christan Horn caught a 53-yard touchdown pass on the final play of the game to give Appalachian State a 32-28 win over Troy in a Sun Belt Conference opener on Saturday.

The quarterback drove the team down the field before throwing an incomplete pass on fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line.

After the kick off, Appalachian State took over at their own 47-yard line and took a safety on the first play from scrimmage. The winning throw came on fourth-and- 10.

Dashaun Davis threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Christian Wells in the first quarter.

In the second quarter, he ran for two 1-yard touchdown runs.

The quarterback completed 22 of 34 passes. Horn caught five passes for 98 yards.

The quarterback for the USC completed 23 of 37 passes for 302 yards Troy carried the ball for only 57 yards.
