A drag performer died while performing at a gay bar in Philadelphia.

Jeffrey Sotland, owner of Tabu Lounge and Sports bar, said that Valencia Prime collapsed on stage during her performance.

The venue mourned the loss of a bright and rising star in the performance community and a person who was always full of love and positivity. We will not forget the light you brought to the stage, even though we say goodbye to Valencia Prime.

After the news broke, other performers paid tribute. Prime referred to herself as Philadelphia's plus-sized dancing diva.

The community has lost a lot of people in the last few years. TimareeLeigh, a sexuality educator and Burlesque performer, said, "rest in power, babes."

Leigh told NBC News that he will miss Valencia. She brought a lot of energy and was fun to be around. Her loss is a huge blow to a lot of people.

The drag artist known as Anthony Veltre was often performed by Prime. Veltre said that he would forever be his light. I would like to know how to continue without you. I don't know how to inspire other people that are hurting, but a piece of my soul has been taken from me and I'm struggling to pick myself up off the ground. Everything in my heart is with you. You should rest in power.

Prime's loved ones have surpassed their initial goal on a Go Fund Me campaign.

The community is asked to help her mother and the rest of her family give her a proper memorial. We want you to know that your support and kindness has gone unrecognized.

Nikita Sinnn Monroe said that Prime was originally from Delran, New Jersey. According to Prime's Facebook page, she graduated from Delran High School in 2015, went to college in New Jersey and then received her degree from Temple University.

On Tuesday, Christiana Marcus-McRae wrote on Facebook that she was making funeral arrangements for her second child, who was born 25 years ago.

Marcus-McRae did not reply right away.
