Jack Grealish gives Manchester City the lead against Wolves in the Premier League
Jack Grealish's goal was his seventh since joining Manchester City last summer

Jack Grealish received a great response to his critics.

After both his performances for Manchester City and his place in the England squad was called into question, Grealish responded with his first goal of the season against Wolves on Saturday.

The forward was at the center of most of the visitors' attacking play as he helped the team cruise to a win.

The result sees City head into the international break on top of the table after scoring 23 times in seven Premier League matches, while in Erling Haaland that have a forward with 14 goals in nine games.

Questions are being asked about how anyone can stop City winning three league titles in a row.

It feels ominous for everyone, and almost feels like a one-horse race, according to Rio Ferdinand.

Jack Grealish answered the critics in a great way.

Pep's trust in Grealish

Grealish's British record £100m transfer from Villa brings added pressure, yet has trust in him.

There wasn't much attention paid to Grealish's contribution to City's title-winning campaign last season.

Even though Grealish left the field in the second half of City's comeback in the Champions League, he was spoken to by the coach before the Wolves game.

If the manager's faith in Grealish is seen as a positive, the forward should be happy with his performance against Wolves.

A combination of his Villa connection and being on the end of Nathan Collins' red-card challenge meant Grealish was the focus of the Wolves faithful.

When he was replaced by Cole Palmer 13 minutes from time, he pointed to the South Bank and thanked the man.

He said it was nice whenPep defended him. He gave me the opportunity today, which probably wasn't the best, because of my performance on Wednesday.

The man wants Grealish to be the player that convinced him to pay big money to Villa.

He said that they don't have to thank you. I have total faith in them. I don't have any doubts about them.

Good and bad moments are part of life. He thinks he's Jack Grealish and he plays like it. All I want for him is that.

Haaland's scoring streak continues

Erling Haaland scores for Manchester City against Wolves in the Premier League
Erling Haaland has now scored 100 goals in 99 games since leaving Red Bull Salzburg for Borussia Dortmund

In the last eight games, Haaland has not scored. The 22-year-old will reach that milestone if he scores against Manchester United.

If Haaland failed to find the net, it would be a huge shock.

One senses that the Norwegian's contribution for City's third, which saw him have the awareness to roll the ball to Kevin de Bruyne, who crossed for Phil Foden, was just as good as his latest effort, which was struck from outside the box.

Haaland has 11 goals. At the same point in the season, he had reached four goals, which would have broken the record.

Only one person has reached half of Haaland's total so far.

Even though Haaland won't be at the World Cup this year, Ferdinand can only see one winner next year if the Norwegian is in top form.

Ferdinand said that he has the ability to break records because of his team's dominance.

There is no doubt that he will win the Ballon d'Or. He is the leader of the group.
