When he first heard of Musk's plan to buy the social networking site, he was concerned.
The reaction of most people was like, 'Oh my God, another huge problem.' "He's already dealing with a lot of people, so he's trying to figure out how to deal with it."
The group of entrepreneurs that helped Musk on his first business venture went on to found some of Silicon Valley's most successful companies.
According to a report, there were other people in Musk's social circle who had doubts about the deal. Several of Musk's close friends warned him against entering the deal and worried he had taken on too much, according to a report.
When it came to Musk's initial decision to purchase the micro-messaging service, he never doubted him.
He thought that he was wrong to think that he couldn't do both of them.
"This could change the world," he said in a text. What do you think is going to happen?
He has supported Musk before. The businessman went to bat for Musk after Trump criticized him.
I wasn't surprised to see Trump's attacks onelonmusk. "Elun's a classic immigrant story, anentrepreneur with a real record of success," he wrote. The EV revolution, the resurrected US rocket industry, and the fight against climate change are some of the things that have started.
Several of Musk's friends were subpoenaed by both sides of the court battle after Musk tried to back out of the purchase agreement. In August, two of Musk'sPayPal Mafia buddies, David Sacks and Joe Lonsdale, slammedTwitter for dragging them into the legal battle Sacks called it a giant fishing expedition.
It's not yet known whether Musk will be forced to buy the social networking site. A five day trial will be held in October over the purchase.
