Jeff Bezos was just dethroned as the 2nd richest person in the world by Asia's wealthiest individual

Bezos had held the title of world's second-richest person.

The net worth of Bezos has dropped to 145.8 billion dollars, according to a report.

The founder and chairman of Adani Group became Asia's wealthiest person in February. When his wealth hit $122 billion in April, Adani became the third richest person in the world. Bill Gates and Bernard Arnault were both billionaires recently.

From college dropout to business tycoon

He dropped out of college to become a diamond sorter in Mumbai.

He helped his brother import plastic, and in 1988 established the flagship of the Adani Group, Adani Enterprises.

Two dangerous situations have spared Adani.

A group of men kidnapped Adani and his companion in 1998. The men were found not guilty in 2005. According to Times Now India, there was no connection between the two men and Adani's abduction.
