FBI agents descended on the former Kansas City, Kansas, police detective's home after he was arrested on Thursday.

The woman who lives near Golubski refused to give her name. She didn't know the man had been accused of raping vulnerable Black women.

She thought there had been a wreck when she woke up at 7 a.m. The FBI agents were outside Golubski's home.

She heard an FBI agent yell as the people came out of the building.

Golubski was put into a law enforcement vehicle without a fight after she saw him coming out of the house.

Golubski was arrested after the neighbor provided photographs. The man was wearing a shirt and shorts. Golubski's arrest was confirmed by the FBI.

She waved at Golubski whenever she saw him, even though she didn't know him. He would return the favor. She said she wouldn't have moved to the neighborhood if she'd known about the accusations against him.

Golubski is accused of sexually abusing two women multiple times from 1998 to 2002.

The women are accused of being deprived of their rights. His conduct included sexual assault and kidnapping.

Golubski is expected to appear in court at a later time. The day is Thursday.

Accusations against Roger Golubski

After 35 years on the force, Golubski retired from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department as a captain. He worked as a detective at the police department after leaving KCK.

In the exoneration of McIntyre, accusations against Golubski came to light. He filed a lawsuit accusing Golubski of using his position to sexually abuse Black women and framing innocent people for crimes they didn't commit.

The largest public wrongful conviction settlement in Kansas history was reached earlier this year.

The Star was unable to reach Golubski. A reporter from the Star went to his home this week to speak with him. Golubski left a message at the newspaper Tuesday night saying he would speak soon.

The Metro Organization for Racial and Economic Equity, a social justice group that has long called for Golubski to be arrested, said in a statement that this one was well- deserved.

According to The Star, an FBI agent called Williams early Thursday morning and said that she had arrested Golubski. She wasn't told what Golubki had been arrested for.
