Keanu Reeves in Constantine

The 2005 Warner Bros. DC film he starred in, which didn't find initial box-office success but has since become something of a cult classic, is getting a sequel.

Francis Lawrence, who made his debut on the first film and went on to direct several Hunger Games movies, will reprise his role as the demonologist in the sequel. The Weed Road Pictures will be produced by Goldsman and Bad Robot. It is thought that this movie will replace the new series adaptation at HBO Max.

It is curious to see this side of DC films and we are wondering if the newer era of DC heroes and villains will intersect with the newer side of the film. With the belief that the role at this point would have been changed, fans of the film had all about it but gave up hope. It's not clear if original Constantine castmates Rachel Weisz and Tilda Swinton will also come back.

Would you like to see John Constantine join the DCEU power? Are you a fan of the Constantine movie sequel?
