Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that her surgery to remove her cancer had been a success.

She said on social media that doctors found the cancer after a check-up and a biopsies on an area of concern.

She went on to say that she is now cancer-free after undergoing a successful surgery to remove her Thyroid.

Huckabee is running for governor of her home state of Arkansas.

She said she would return to the campaign trail soon. This experience has reminded me that no matter what the battle is, don't give up.

The note from her doctor said the surgery went well and she should be back on her feet within the next 24 hours.

If caught early, the survival rates for papillary Thyroid Cancer are positive.
