After suffering an injury to his ribs in Thursday night's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Clippers quarterback Justin Herbert underwent an X-ray.
Herbert was injured in the fourth quarter of the game. He came back after taking a play off. He threw a touchdown that cut Kansas City's lead to 3. Herbert is expected to be OK, according to the head coach of the Bolts.
Bridget Condon @BridgetCondon_Brandon Staley says Justin Herbert "is ok. It was a tough game. You're not going to see a quarterback in any level of football play tougher...there's nobody that can do what he can do."
Herbert was the 2020 offensive rookies of the year and appeared in 15 games and completed 66.6% of his passes for 4,336 yards and 31 touchdown. He scored on the ground five times.
In his second year as a Pro Bowler, he threw for 5,014 yards and 38 touchdown.
Expectations were high in Los Angeles entering the season due to the fact that the team can ill-afford to lose him for an extended period in a competitiveAFC West.
He has completed at least 72 percent of his passes in each of the last two years.
