After the Los Angeles Chargers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, quarterback Justin Herbert left the locker room and went to the X-ray room.
Herbert took a hit from Danna that left him lying on the field for a long time. He missed one play before coming back, and then was crushed between the two pass-rushers, but remained in the game.
Herbert did not speak to reporters after the event, and a Chargers spokesman said he wouldn't be available because of a rib injury.
"He took some big hits in the football game, but it was just a tough game and he didn't hurt himself," said Brandon Staley.
He said that he didn't feel concerned about Herbert going forward. It's because he's named Justin Herbert.
The nature of Herbert's injury is likely to be known on Friday.
Herbert, who had won his first two games at the stadium, finished with 334 yards passing and three touchdown, but he also threw an pick that was returned for a touchdown to give the Chiefs their first lead of the night.
Herbert was sacked twice and hit seven times.
Multiple injuries were suffered by the line.
Both Linsley and Pipkins were hurt in the first half and did not return to the game.
"I think Linsley has a knee issue, I just talked to him, he seemed okay, but we'll know tomorrow," said the All Pro.
He didn't know the severity of the injury.
Will Clapp took over at right tackle for Linsley, while StormNorton was inserted at right tackle.
The Bolts fell to 1-2 in the division with the loss.
They will play the Jacksonville Jags in week 3.
