The migrants were sent to Martha's Vineyard to troll liberals, and they thought they were going to Boston.

Three of the migrants, who were part of a group of 50, were interviewed by NPR.

Wealthy liberals like Barack Obama and John Kerry have properties on the island.

The migrants said that they were lured from a shelter in San Antonio into boarding a plane with promises of expedited work permits in Boston.

Perla offered assistance. "Help that never arrived" is what one migrant said. We are here now." On the plane we had a vision of the future.

He said that it meant a lot when someone offers help when you have no money.

The migrants didn't know where they were when they disembarked the planes, and the local authorities didn't know about it.

The burden of caring for migrants was just desserts for Democratic areas that favor softer border policies, according to a statement issued by the spokesman.

They were provided with shelter, food and medical care when they arrived.

The legality of the stunt is under scrutiny, with California's governor calling for a federal investigation.
