A guard who was watching over the queen's coffin at the Palace of Holyroodhouse suddenly collapsed and fell to the floor.

The guard fell to the floor when he stood at the foot of the queen's coffin. The day is Thursday.

The service started broadcasting on the website at 5pm. The doors of the hall were open to the public.

The footage from the fall was posted to social media.

Officials rushed to the guard's aid after he fainted while holding a ceremonial staff.

The live feed faded as he was tended to. The broadcast did not come back to the scene inside the hall.
