A guard standing in front of the Queen's coffin collapsed in the middle of the night.

A video on TikTok shows the moment a royal guard, dressed in all black, fell on the floor of the hall where Queen Elizabeth II is lying in state.

The monarch died peacefully at the age of 70. She was over the age of 100.

In a clip shared by TikTok user@bg_8910, which has over 1.6 million views as of Thursday, the guard, who was carrying a staff, stumbled while standing on the platform showing the Queen's casket.

The officers rushed to his aid.

The footage was taken from a live stream that was cut out after the guard collapsed.

It is not clear what happened next or what caused the collapse. Buckingham Palace didn't reply immediately.

The Queen's coffin is being guarded by units from the Household Division and Yeoman Warders of the Tower of London according to the Telegraph. It is possible for the public to visit until her funeral on Monday.

Palace soldiers are tasked with carrying out shifts lasting as long as six hours and involve them standing completely still and rotating around the monarch's coffin.

The guard was the only one who collapsed after the Queen's coffin was moved.

The Queen's cousin fainted as the monarch's coffin arrived at parliament, causing a small commotion.

She wasn't seen again during the event and wasn't included in the family photo.

Buckingham Palace didn't reply to Insider's request for comment.
