Smith met Harry at a polo match, but it was not grand.
Matt Smith, who plays Prince Philip on "The Crown," revealed in a recent interview that his work on the show led to a funny conversation with Prince Harry.
"I met Harry once, at polo, which sounds a bit grand, but it wasn't that grand," the "House of the Dragon" star recalled during an appearance on "The Today Show"
"And he gestured to me, 'Granddad,' and I shook the hand of the co-host," Smith said.
I can't say if he watches it right now, but he did watch a bit of it in the past.
Smith was told that he watched his episodes.
Smith said that a friend of his once attended a dinner with Prince Philip. Smith's friend asked the royal if he watched the show after they talked about it during the dinner.
Philip replied, "Don't be silly," according to Smith.
On "House of the Dragon," Smith plays the role of Prince Daemon Targaryen, a member of the Targaryen family. During his appearance on "The Today Show," the "Doctor Who" star told the hosts that he was initially hesitant to take on the role, but that he is now happy he did.
