The general store is located in the ghost town ofPearce. The building was purchased by Michael and his wife,Patricia. She is selling it for more than one million dollars.

The Arizona Ghost Town Museum is located on a 0.64-acre lot. In 1978 it was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The location of the mercantile has been the same for over a century. It was your one-stop-shop, according to the listing agent. There was a bank inside.

The old general store was bought by a couple in 1996. The purchase price wasn't shared.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the mining town ofPearce flourished until the 1930s. The Arizona Ghost Town Trail links three former mining towns together.

There are less than 2000 people in the town.

It was Michael's dream to restore the OldPearce Mercantile to its former glory. Three years passed after he died.

His wife finished the job after he died.

She said that all of the old shelves, ladders, and railings are still there. The exterior has been painted.

The place was decorated with antiques and period furniture and turned into a one-bedroom home.

Many of the antiques that Patty sought out over the years will be conveyed with the sale of the property.

Historical documents, vintage food packaging, signs, and appliances are some of the items included.

Most of the items in the house were donated by old families who have been living in the area for a long time.

The one-bedroom apartment that was created in the back of the building was the work of her husband, a carpenter, she said.

The wooden doorway is one of the most unique artifacts in the OldPearce. The post office used to be at that location.

She lived there for a short time while her own home was being renovated.

Every day, burrs goes over to check on things. She said there is a cat that hangs out there that will convey with the property.

The antique appliances, including the vintage stove and refrigerator, were made to work.

The property has been on the market for a long time. In May 2020 she put the OldPearce Mercantile up for sale for $944,000. The price was gradually increased over the next two years.

The median listing home price in the area is $215,000.

There are 20 single family homes for sale in the area with prices ranging from $56,000 to $1 million. The most expensive listing in the area is the OldPearce Mercantile.

Future owners can add more rooms and turn the place into a vacation rental if they want to.

Patty wants to connect the blacksmith shop and all those storage areas by adding guest cottages with bathroom behind them.

The Old Pearce Mercantile is currently registered as a residential property, but future owners can easily switch it to a commercial one.

It's easy to change because it was a commercial property. The place is ready for anything that the new buyers might want to use it for, because it has a new commercial sewage tank and well.

The building inspector was one of her favorite memories from the renovation process.

The inspector spotted a rattlesnake in the courtyard as he was scrutinizing the structure.

Guys went back to work after the inspection was cut short.

There is a blacksmith shop outside. It usually hosts live blacksmith demonstrations over Thanksgiving weekend.

According to the listing, Burris is willing to negotiate the sale of 10 nearby acres for grape-growing.

Now that she's accomplished her late husband's dream, she wants to give the OldPearce Mercantile to a new person.

There have been weddings on the property. She has in the past opened up the place for street fairs with vendors.

The people of the town are hoping that someone will purchase it.

The property is being sold because it is too much work for one person to maintain.

An ideal buyer is someone who appreciates history and will keep it the same. Hopefully, they'll let the community know about it again.
